In 1984 my late husband Gary and I started Comp-U-Tronix one of the country's first on-line shopping BBS's with just one phone line and a 300 baud modem.

In 1990 we expanded to the nation's first video-on-demand shopping service (using Mitsubishi picture phones) by selling consumer products via electronic images over the phone lines as a new form of marketing --- without printed catalogs.

In 1995 we launched our first e-commerce website, and now we have over 1 million visitors per month shopping on our websites and saving money on their purchases, whether large or small.

As long-time environmentalists, it brings us great satisfaction to market products and services without the need for unnecessarily cutting down trees to make paper catalogs that mostly would end up in landfills.
